The Native Hawaiian Plant Society (NHPS) is a non-profit organization that works to protect unique plants and habitats of Hawai’i. Most of the projects are done in cooperation with private landowners in remote areas of Maui. Activities include fencing threatened and endangered species from feral animals, maintaining and propagating native species, and clearing weeds. NHPS also hosts night meetings with informative speakers and slide shows. Service trips are usually on the second Saturday of each month.
