Other Hawaiian Islands

Little fire ants are not known to occur on Hawaiian islands other than those listed here (as of June 2007). It is very important to report new observations of ants on other islands, so appropriate measures can be taken to stop their spread while there's still time to get rid of them!

The Hawaiian Ecosystems at Risk (HEAR) project is currently funded by the Pacific Basin Information Node (PBIN) of the National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII) through PIERC (USGS) with support from HCSU (UH-Hilo). More details are available online.
