Senna surattensis is an invasive pest in low to mid elevation pastures and disturbed areas in Hawaii. Senna surattensis, known locally in Hawaii as kolomona or the scrambled egg tree, became naturalized in Hawaii by 1871. In 2009 a rust disease of Senna sp. (cf. Senna surattensis, aka "kolomona") was reported in Hilo and Hana. The pathogen is still unidentified, but is apparently causing dieback of kolomona. Senna surattensis is native to Australia or Southeast Asia.
