Psilotum nudum is a slender, more or less erect, shturbby or tufted perennial up to about 1 foot high, with many successively two-forked branches that are ridged longitudinally. Scattered faitly regularly over the branches are tiny, pointed, scalelike "leaves." Amon the upper scales are borne three-lobed, yellow cases filled with countless minute spores.
