Fountaingrass (Pennisetum setaceum is a medium-sized clumping grass which grows to 3 feet tall with long, purple to yellow "spikes" of flowers/seeds. It leaves long and round like wire, and do not form flat blades. Pennisetum setaceum is native to North Africa and the Middle East.
