Gardner, D. E. . Unpublished: Leaf spot of molasses grass (Melinis minutiflora) in HAVO Unpublished

ABSTRACT
Molasses grass is a widespread alien colonizer of drier regions of Hawaii's national parks. Whereas managers usually do not list this species among the highest priority weeds for control, any biocontrol available would be welcome. A leaf spot is already present on molasses grass, sometimes appearing quite prominent. I did not determine the probable fungal pathogen, but this appears to be an example of a non-intentionally introduced biocontrol agent already in operation. It is possible that the invasive grass would be even more aggressive were it not infected with this, and similar diseases.
