Habit:  tree

Description:  "A middle-sized tree, leaves 1-pinnate, 20-40 cm long, with 5-7 alternate leaflets; leaflets entire, oblong-elliptic, acute, 7-18 cm long, with veins prominent beneath; flowers in small spikes on branches and trunks, yellowish, small, sessile; fruit subglobose or ovoid, 3-4 cm long, the calyx persistent at the base, skin velvety; pulp translucent, acid, edible; seeds 1 or 2, with 2-4 abortive ovules; separable into 2-5 segments, juicy."  (Stone, 1970; p. 357).
