Description:  "Stem erect; leaves sessile, obovate, flat, 4-6 cm long, 3-3.5 cm wide, crenate-dentate, glabrous, blue-violet, with easily removed waxy coating; flowers yellow, in beautiful cymes, tube 12-14 mm long.  Rarely flowers" (Jacobsen, 1960; p. 649).
