Habit:  tree

Description:  "Tree or shrub to about 11 m tall; young stems tomentulose, glabrescent; stipules subdeltoid to ovate, about 2-5 mm long; leaves about 9-17-foliolate, oblong to obovate, 1.5-4.5 cm long, 0.5-2 cm wide, obtuse to emarginate, surfaces puberulent, glabrescent, secondary veins numerous, parallel, moderately conspicuous; bracts ovate, about 3 mm long; flowers 12-14 mm long; calyx about 5-7 mm long, tomentulose, lobes 2-3 mm long; fruit tomentulose, 3-5 cm long, 2-3.5 cm wide, about 1.5-2.5 cm thick; seeds light brown, lenticular, hilum apical"  (Wiggins & Porter, 1971; p. 624).
