Habit: vine
Description: "Robust vine. Leaves 3-lobed, to 20 cm long, lateral lobes nearly as long as the mid-lobe, the surface rough; tendrils simple. Flowers in short racemes, panicles, or solitary; calyx-tube up to 1.5 cm long and wide, lobes triangular, 5 mm long, green; corolla yellow-green, to 4 cm in diameter, the inside of the lobes densely pubescent. Fruit ellipsoid, ca 2 cm long, 1.5 cm in diameter, purplish-black" (Dolson & Gentry, 1978; p. 308).
Habitat/ecology: "In disturbed areas and in mature forest" (Dolson & Gentry, 1978; p. 308).
