Habit:  shrub

Description:  "Shrubs ca. 2 m tall. Branchlets terete, glabrous. Leaf blade elliptic, ovate, or obovate, 7-18 x 4-8 cm, glabrous, base cuneate, margin serrulate above middle, apex bluntly caudate-acuminate to acute. Cymes delicate, ca. 2 cm across; peduncle 6-10 mm. Calyx cup-shaped, teeth obtusely triangular. Corolla white or purplish, ca. 3 mm, glabrous. Filaments equal or slightly longer than corolla tube; anthers ca. 1.8 mm, exserted. Fruit globose, ca. 2.5 mm in diameter."
