Many places in the Pacific region (and elsewhere) have slow, unreliable or expensive internet service. The same information that is on the PIER web site is also available on a CD for use in these situations. The CD is also useful for field work away from the office. The CD is free of charge for users in the Pacific region and others with poor internet service. Just send a message to pier@hear.org. You can also request to be put on the mailing list for future distributions of the CD.
A general distribution of the CD to those on the mailing list is only done every 1 1/2 to 2 years. Thus you should check the PIER Internet site for the latest information, if feasible. We'll also be glad to send you an updated CD in the interim if you need it. Also, be aware that the many linkages to other Internet sites from the CD will not work unless you have Internet access.
Free distribution of the CD is intended for users in the Pacific region and for those that have poor internet access. If you have broadband access, please go to the PIER download page.
