Operation Miconia Hawaii Island has been charting and destroying Miconia plants since late 1996.  There is over 3 years worth of survey, distribution, and treatment data in our database.  Viewing the data in GIS format allows us to see the distribution on an island-wide scale.

The data is used to help define infestation sizes, boundaries and age.  Different dispersal possibilities present themselves to be explored.  All of this information is used to plan future ground and air surveys efficiently.
