Target species: Himalayan blackberry (Rubus discolor) - There are only two known populations of Himalayan blackberry on Oahu, both found in the greater Palolo area. OISC is fully controlling both populations working towards island-wide eradication of this species.

Area: Mauumae trail above Wilhelmina

Mahalo for all those folks who made it to help rid our island of Himalayan blackberry. We pushed the two mile hike through exposed terrain to our work site nested in the transition zone from disturbed forest to native-dominated rain forest. Thank you to all those who helped to make this trip a success.
