Puu Makua

Puu Makua is a cinder cone on the southwest rift of East Maui (Hawaii).   Puu Makua is located on Ulupalakua Ranch and is part of the Leeward Haleakala Watershed Restoration Partnership (LHWRP).   The area is a restoration site for the native Hawaiian koa tree (Acacia koa), and is part of a regional effort to improve the watershed of Leeward Haleakala.   For more information, contact the Maui Restoration Group at (808)573-8989 or auwahi@yahoo.com.
