Description: Shrub or small tree up to 20' tall, with opposite 3-4" leaves having 3 main veins and silver undersides, clusters of 1/2" white flowers and 1/4" black berries.
Risk areas: Moist and wet forests and open areas.
WARNING:Tetrazygia belongs to the Melastome Family, many members of which have proven invasive in Hawaii and elsewhere. All members of this family should probably be avoided in horticulture.
