Description: | Succulent plant up to 8" tall, with grayish-brown erect, fleshy stems and 4-6" star-shaped brown flowers smelling like rotten meat. |
Risk areas: | Dry forests and open areas. |
WARNING: | Several species of succulent stapeliads adapted to living in dry areas are beginning to spread in leeward areas of Hawaii. Other species with wind-dispersed seeds, like those of stapeliads, should best be avoided. |
