Description: | Climbing vine with 2.5-5.5" oblong leathery leaves, 3" white flowers marked with purple, and 2" yellow fruits. |
Risk areas: | Moist and wet areas from 0-800 ft. elevation. |
WARNING: | Numerous species of passionflowers have become established in Hawaii and elsewhere and many of these, such as banana poka, are extremely invasive. It would be prudent to grow only sterile hybrids that do not set fruit. |
