Description: | Shrub to 10' tall, with round stems, opposite 3-7" leaves with brownish fuzz underneath, 1" rose-colored flowers, and 1/4" white fleshy fruits. |
Risk areas: | Moist and wet forests at low elevations. |
WARNING: | Medinilla belongs to the Melastome Family, many members of which have proven invasive in Hawaii and elsewhere. All members of this family should probably be avoided in horticulture. |
