Description: Tiny, floating aquatic herbs 1/16-1/4"; pale green with 1 root per frond; fronds single or connected in groups of 2-10; flowers and fruits not visible.
Risk areas: Freshwater lakes, ponds, ditches, canals, and slow-moving streams.
WARNING:Individual plants are tiny, but colonies develop in such numbers that still waters can be covered with a continuous carpet of plants.
