Description: Erect herb or subshrub 3-6' tall, with square stems, 1-3" leaves, and 1/2" white, pink, or magenta flowers.
Risk areas: Moist and wet forests and open areas.
WARNING:Pearl flower belongs to the Melastome Family, many members of which have proven invasive in Hawaii and elsewhere. All members of this family should probably be avoided in horticulture.
