Description: Robust perennial herb 3-6' high, with large rhizomes and 6-18" spikes of 2" yellow flowers with orange stamens.
Risk areas: Rainforest, moist forest, roadsides, open areas, streamsides.
WARNING:Given the degree to which the genus Hedychium has proven invasive in Hawaii and elsewhere, all members of this genus should probably be avoided.
