Habit: herb
Description: "Annual herbs. Stems erect, 20-50 cm high, covered with simple, spreading hairs. Basal leaves petiolate, lyrate-pinnatifid with 3-4 pairs of oblong, dentate, lobes, not rosette-forming; cauline leaves shortly petiolate, lyrate-pinnatifid. Flowers small and half the size of those of S. irio. Calyx somewhat spreading, petals ca 2 x 1 mm, narrowly spathulate, pale yellow. Fruiting pedicels more or less spreading, siliqua erect-spreading, 20-35 mm long, ca 1 mm broad, usually broader at base than apex, horizontal, glabrous. Valves thin, more or less torulose, 1-nerved.
