Description: "Herb or shrub 1-1.5 m tall; petioles 0.3-0.7 cm long; leaf blades (1-) 2-5 x 0.7-2.2 cm, elliptic, the lower surface pubescent and glandular; involucres 6-7 x 1.5-2 mm; corollas ca. 4.5 mm long; achenes ca. 3 mm long" (Berry et al., 1997; p. 249).
